It's important for consumers to recognize that while both products share the same cleaning efficiency and similar characteristics such as scent and color, Blue Gold Spray Wash is specifically engineered with a low-foaming ingredient. This unique formulation requires activation by heating the solution to at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
This feature makes Blue Gold Spray Wash particularly well-suited for applications involving enclosed loop systems like cabinet washers, where the prevention of suds and foam buildup is paramount. By understanding this distinction, consumers can make more informed decisions regarding which product aligns best with their cleaning needs and equipment specifications.

While OSHA indicates that anything with higher than 12.5 pH is caustic it also allows for you to test to disprove this assumption. Caustics "eat or burn away tissue" and are corrosive. CFR29 section 1910.1200 appendix A defines corrosive as "a chemical that causes visible destruction or irreversible alterations in living tissue by chemical action". Independent lab tests on rats mice and rabbits for inhalation, ingestion and skin abrasion indicate no "visible destruction or irreversible alterations" to the tissue. Caustics also make the contamination they are removing a part of the solution, unlike Blue Gold which holds the contaminates in temporary suspension while the solution is heated and agitated. Upon removal of the agitation, Blue Gold releases the oils and greases( except for those that are water soluble) and allows them to rise to the surface. Here they may be easily removed via skimmers or oil absorbent sheets allowing you to extend the bath life of your Blue Gold solution.
Blue Gold has undergone rigorous testing according to ARP 1755 standards, demonstrating its safety for use on both ferrous and nonferrous metals. Additionally, it has been assessed and proven safe for application on both unpainted and painted surfaces, as well as various plastics according to AMS 1530 specifications. Notably, in a comprehensive United Air Lines Interior Cleaning test, Blue Gold exhibited no adverse effects on a wide range of materials including natural rubber, silicone rubber, electric wiring insulation, neoprene, leather, vinyl, plastics, naugahyde, kydex, polypropylene, polyplastex, as well as wool, nylon, or acrylic carpeting.
An independent laboratory recently conducted tests on multiple strips of aluminum adhering to military QQ-A-250 standards. These strips underwent cleaning with a 5% solution of Blue Gold at 95°F for durations of 30, 60, and 90 minutes. Upon microscopic examination, no signs of corrosion were detected on any of the tested samples.
Furthermore, Blue Gold is widely utilized for cleaning a diverse range of aluminum and aluminum alloy parts across various industries. Our approval by ARP1755 stands as a testament to the safety and efficacy of our product for use in these critical applications. We take great pride in offering a reliable and trusted solution that consistently meets the stringent standards of the industry.
